Shyvana fan VGU

My fan-rework of the character Shyvana from League of Legends.
Shyv was one of my favorite champs when i played, the concept of her character intrigued me and i wanted to do my own take on her design.
(Everything except for the finishing touches was made before the leak of her actual VGU, so any similarities are coincidental, i think the direction theyre going in is really cool though, especially if they decide to keep her scary eyes!)

This is the result of my final thesis Project at YRGO.
My question for the thesis was "What are the responsibilities of a concept artist during the rework and relaunch of a League of Legends character?", i researched it quite thoroughly, so feel free to read my blogpost if you're interested. I'll link to it here when it's up!

i'll have some explanations for my thoughts and process below each image, ill upload a blogpost detailing more and attatch it to this post soon enough!

dragon form
the flames on her wings and horns correlate with fury amount, while her tail flame indicates a new W passive which replaces her auto with a quick tail swipe.

some new ideas for abilities, i wanted her base form to have more heft and impact to her abilities, while still keeping the basic identity, the main kit change would be a new passive, letting her use her dragon form abilities in base, at the cost of fury.

in the beginning i explored several silhouettes and ideas that still felt like shyvana, since its a VGU and not a complete ground up rework.
i had different keywords and directions in mind, like "wall", "loose cannon" and "kingsguard"

i wanted the dragon form resemble the dragons on the rift, while still keeping the four limbs to set her apart.
